You will soon be able to pay bills, apply for a passport, book travel and movie tickets and even get a list of restaurants in your neighbourhood at a citizen kiosk in your colony, courtesy the Municipal Corporation of Delhi’s (MCD) unique ‘Aapke Dwar’ project.
The civic body has started the process of installing the first batch of the proposed kiosks across various residential colonies to provide enhanced web-enabled services, free of cost.
The first batch comprising 300 kiosks are being installed by a Hyderabad-based firm, Bartronics India Ltd (BIL). Sixteen such kiosks have already been installed in areas like Paharganj and Karol Bagh and the one at the New Delhi railway station is already operational, BIL officials said. All 300 kiosks will be made operational by the end of this month, the official added.
